With a profound understanding of the challenges faced by older adults, gained through close connections with my grandparents, fueled by empathy and a vision for technological innovation, my aim is to leverage artificial intelligence to enhance the retirement experience for seniors.While many elderly individuals use mobile phones and the Internet, some find it challenging to adapt to technology, fearing potential difficulties.
How can we design an AI assistant that is both attentive and easy for elders to communicate with?
Through surveys with elders, I uncovered various life inconveniences and emotional struggles. Surprisingly, most expressed a desire for exploration and learning. Moreover, they wished for communication with their children on equal terms, without burdening them unnecessarily.In response, the affectionate AI dog is crafted to address these pain points. Functioning like a family member, it acts as a bridge, making their lives easier and fostering stronger connections with family and friends.
