Making Open Space

Project in Shibaura institute of technology

This project is a renovation complex near Shimbashi station. Shimbashi is a major interchange railway station in center Tokyo.The surrounding is mainly commercial centers and office buildings.The renovation part includes three old adjacent build- ings and a plaza in the east side of the station.My intention is to create a series of continuous public space which link different fonctions.For the three existing concrete buildings,I keep the ancient structures,change the facade,modify the space and enrich the fonctions.
